Wieloaspektowy rozwój transportu intermodalnego w krajach członkowskich Unii Europejskiej

Streszczenie:
W artykule przedstawiono rekomendacje Unii Europejskiej mające na celu ograniczenia dynamicznego rozwoju transportu drogowego i jego oddziaływania natury społeczno-ekologicznej. Przedstawione zostały główne postulaty, przygotowane przez Komisję Europejską i przytoczone w dokumencie Biała Księga (ang. White Paper) z 2011 roku, na rzecz redukcji towarowych przewozów w transporcie drogowym przy jednoczesnym zwiększeniu udziału przewozów ładunków przy wykorzystaniu transportu kolejowego, w ramach transportu intermodalnego. Przedstawione zostały wielkości przewozowe dla jednostek transportu kombinowanego w ramach całkowitego przewozu na terenie krajów obecnej UE, a także omówiono działalność Międzynarodowego Związku Towarzystw Transportu Kombinowanego Szyna-Droga – UIRR. Opisano również destrukcyjny wpływ transportu drogowego na środowisko m.in. w wyniku emisji gazów cieplarnianych do atmosfery. Ponadto dokonano oceny głównych technologii przeładunku naczep oraz zestawów drogowych w ramach transportu kombinowanego. Przedstawiono również podstawowe przedsięwzięcia warunkujące rozwój transportu intermodalnego w Polsce.

Multi - aspects development of intermodal transport in the European Union countries

Abstract:
The paper presents the recommendations of the European Union in case of reducing the dynamic development of road transport and the impact of social-ecological nature. The key messages were prepared by the European Commission and cited in the document called White Paper in 2011. These are mainly about reducing freight road transport and increasing freight transportation by rail transport, as part of intermodal transport. Traffic volumes are presented for intermodal transport units within the total transport in the present EU countries and discusses the activities of the International Union of combined Road-Rail transport companies - UIRR. The paper also describes the devastating impact of road transport on the environment including due to greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere. In addition, an assessment of major cargo handling technologies of horizontal reloading in the combined transport is presented. The paper also presents the basic project determining the development of intermodal transport in Poland.
